My passion lies in helping others navigate their personal challenges and achieve emotional well-being through therapy. I am deeply committed to creating a compassionate, non-judgmental space where clients can feel heard, supported, and empowered to make positive changes in their lives.
My passion is to help individuals cultivate happiness and well-being by providing therapeutic support tailored to their unique needs. Through a compassionate and goal-focused approach, I guide clients in discovering their strengths, building resilience, and fostering lasting positive change.
Building connection is essential for fostering healthy, fulfilling relationships, yet navigating the challenges that arise can often feel overwhelming. Through therapy, I help individuals and couples deepen their understanding of each other, improve communication, and work through relationship difficulties, creating stronger and more supportive connections.
I am passionate about cultivating healthy habits, such as eating nourishing foods, maintaining a consistent sleep routine, and staying active through regular exercise. I not only prioritize these practices in my personal life but also incorporate them into my work, encouraging clients to explore the mind-body connection as part of their healing journey.
I am deeply passionate about ongoing learning and growth in my field as a therapist, continually seeking new insights and techniques to better support my clients. By staying informed on the latest research and therapeutic practices, I strive to provide the most effective and relevant care in helping individuals achieve their goals.
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is a form of cognitive-behavioral therapy that focuses on teaching individuals skills in mindfulness, emotional regulation, distress tolerance, and interpersonal effectiveness. It was originally developed to treat borderline personality disorder and is effective for managing intense emotions and improving relationships.
Grief-informed therapy is an approach that acknowledges and integrates the complex emotional, psychological, and physical responses individuals experience during grief. It focuses on providing support tailored to each person's unique process of mourning, while helping them navigate and heal from loss in a compassionate, nonjudgmental way.
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a therapeutic approach used to help individuals process and heal from traumatic memories by engaging both hemispheres of the brain through guided eye movements or other bilateral stimulation. It aims to reduce the emotional charge associated with distressing memories and promote adaptive thinking.
Gottman’s couples therapy is based on the research of Drs. John and Julie Schwartz Gottman, focusing on enhancing relationships through improving communication, conflict resolution, and emotional connection. It emphasizes building a strong foundation of friendship, trust, and shared meaning to foster long-term relationship satisfaction.
In my spare time, you can catch me singing,
playing the ukulele, tending to my plant collection, learning and practicing different languages (including sign language!), and going to concerts.
My family includes a black chihuahua named Benji, a Siamese cat named Pennylane, an orange tabby named Diego, and a ball python named Gabz. I also get to babysit my mom's Bichon Frisé named Sina.
I prioritize self-compassion, gratitude, personal growth, and actively supporting others as integral elements of my daily routine to ensure I remain centered and effective in my practice.
